Google is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone ahead of the fifth generation of Samsung foldable phones. According to the latest information, Google is looking to launch its foldable phone named Pixel Fold on May 10, at its annual developer conference, Google I/O.
Ahead of the official debut, the Google Pixel Fold specifications are now surfaced. Jon Prosser the popular tipster stated that the foldable will be available at starting price of $1,799. It will come in Chalk and Obsidian 256GB at that $1,799 price, while the 512GB will be available for $1919 in Obsidian only.
The pre-order will kick off on May 10th and it will ship on June 27th. It will be available May 30th for pre-order from partners like carriers and Best Buy. The Pixel Fold 256GB and 512GB variants are all set to come with UFS 3.1 storage, and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It will run the Tensor G2 chip with the Titan M2 security chip.
Once it is folded Google’s first foldable phone dimensions will be 5.5 height x 3.1 width x 0.5 depth (inches). The outer display is expected to include a 17.4:9 aspect ratio at 5.8 inches. The resolution will be 2092×1080 OLED at 408ppi. The inner display is 7.6 inches, 6:5 aspect ratio, 2208×1840 OLED at 380ppi.
