Now, you can customize YouTube Music by manually adding songs to a playlist you’ve made or by clicking the like button for each soundtrack. However, these options may change in the future.

How this update work
The music streaming service appears to be experimenting with a new feature that enables users. To create a custom radio based on a selection of artists, as discovered by a Reddit user (opens in a new tab).
It would appear that the experimental feature is currently only available to a select few users. As a card on the app’s home screen, the feature is easy to miss for those who have it. You will be taken to what appears to be a setup screen when you tap on the card, where you will be asked to select artists you enjoy.
It almost feels like you’re starting from scratch with your YouTube Music experience. Choose whether you prefer to hear new songs or a mix of songs you already know and love. Having said that, you can also select to listen to both the “Familiar” and “Discover” selections simultaneously.
In the end, you will be asked to select one of the following filters: new releases, popular, deep cuts, pump-up, chill, upbeat, downbeat, and focused. The final curation bears the names of all of the artists you chose. This is a major disadvantage to an otherwise more advanced customization option and can be challenging to remember.
YouTube Music will soon allow users to change the playlist’s name to something simpler to remember.
