At Computex a few months ago, Microsoft executive vice president and chief product officer Panos Panay emphasized that the main driver of Windows 11 development was ensuring the quality of the system. However, according to information found by user Xeno, the bit rate of Windows 11 startup sound has dropped from 2304 Kbps to 1536 Kbps.
This drop in sound quality has been confirmed in Windows 11 Build 22621 (RTM build of Windows 11 22H2) on the Beta channel, with a 33% drop. It is worth noting that the drop in bit rate has a negligible impact on the Windows 11 startup sound under normal circumstances. However, differences are seen when comparing algorithms such as Huffman, Arithmetic, etc.
