Say hi to Nothing. Okay, let’s make it clear. This is Nothing Phone 1. The very first smartphone from the company known as Nothing. It’s a pretty weird name Dimension, right? Like Nothing can do this, Nothing beats iPhone, however, this Smartphone has gained a ton of hype in the smartphone industry. It has a unique, look on the back, which differentiates it from other smartphones. It comes at an affordable price but added an almost similar price, you can get the Google Pixel 6A, which is from Google.
The question is can Nothing Phone 1 be considered more reliable than the Google Pixel 6A. Today, we’re going to compare these two devices to find out which one you should go for. So, without further A due, let’s get started.
Starting with the design as we said before, Nothing Phone 1 has a unique design. It has a flat body design with an aluminum frame, which is the reason I found it makes lightweight and comfortable to hold. Also, it boasts a gorilla glass 5 on the front and back, the most tracking segment is the back, which is transparent and includes multiple LED lights. Nothing calls it the glyph.
These LED lamps will let you know about notifications, charging status, incoming calls, and camera full light. Cool thing is that the LED Can dance with your ringtone. It also has a dual camera set up with LED light around it. The camera looks like a Wali robot, whereas the Google Pixel 6A has a diagonal bumping camera design and that makes the Pixel 6-series stand out from its predecessor.
The Pixel 6A also features an aluminum frame, plastic bag and Gorilla Glass 3 to protect your device from accidental damages. Overall if you’re more into unique design then Nothing Phone 1 can be a pretty good choice. So about the display, the Nothing Phone 1 has a 6.5-inch OLED screen that supports a 120-hertz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. However, it’s not using an L top panel, but it will switch between 60 hertz to 120 her smartly and that’s pretty amazing.
On the other hand, the Pixel 6A comes with the 6.1 and 60 hertz OLED display, which is bright and Vivid, most importantly, it supports the always-on display that Nothing Phone 1 lacks. In short, the Nothing Phone 1 has a bigger brighter and smooth display compared to the Pixel 6A. But what about the camera quality? Because this is now the most important feature that everyone looks for. For the Nothing Phone 1, it delivers a 15-megapixel main and a 15-megapixel Ultra-wide camera.
Nothing also claimed, they use Sony’s IMX766 and Samsung J1 and sensors, which doesn’t seem pretty exciting. To be honest, the IMX766 is the same sensor that is used in the OnePlus Nord 2. Overall the camera quality is decent. Tough to ensure detailed and environment images. Whereas the Pixel 6A has a 12.2 megapixel main and a 12-megapixel Ultra-wide camera which is also not a bad camera in terms of its price.
While shooting the Pixel 6A has the capability to capture 4K videos at 60fps, whereas the Nothing Phone 1 can shoot 4K videos, only at 30fps. Moreover, Pixel 6A will give stunning AI editing to get an outstanding image quality. In terms of a selfie camera, the Nothing Phone 1 boasts a 16-megapixel single-punch hole camera on the top left corner. On the other hand, the Pixel 6A comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.
So here we can say, obviously Nothing Phone 1 will give better image quality because it has more pixels than the Pixel 6A. But that doesn’t mean typical success cameras bad though since they will also deliver decent images.
Coming to the performance, so what makes these phones stand out? Well, Nothing Phone 1 has fairly specs and this Smartphone comes with the Snapdragon 778 G Plus, which is a custom and mid-range chipset. However, you will get a balance performance considering its price.
Also, it won’t get laggy while doing heavy gaming. On the other hand, the Pixel 6A has a 5 NM Google Tensor chipset, which is also not that much power but can get the job done at this price range.
Let’s talk about the battery life. The Nothing Phone 1 is equipped with a 4500 mAh, which can ensure all-day long power back. Up it also supports 32 watts fast charging and Carl Pai said it will take around 1 hour to get fully charged. This phone even comes with wireless charging and reverse wireless charging capabilities.
On the other hand, the Pixel 6A has a 4410 mAh battery, and 18 W fast charging, meaning, it will take more time than the Nothing Phone 1 to fully juice up the battery. With all these features and performances, we can surely say that the Nothing Phone 1 looks pretty unique with this transparent back and multiple LED lights.
Though, it has made drain specs, which is why it’s priced at 399 Euro. However, the Google Pixel 6A is also a good affordable smartphone with decent features. What do you think? Are you willing to buy Nothing Phone 1, which is just a newbie, or Google Pixel 6A, which is from a reliable and well-known company?
