The third-generation flagship of Xiaomi refers to the Xiaomi Mi 12 series, Xiaomi Mi 12S series, and Xiaomi Mi 13 series. Among them, Xiaomi Mi 12 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Xiaomi Mi 12S will be equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and Xiaomi Mi 13 series is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is the successor to the Snapdragon 888 chip and is the first chip to use Qualcomm’s new naming scheme, which previously used a three-digit numbering system to name new chips. In addition, it is also Qualcomm’s first chip to use ARM’s latest Armv9 architecture.
