The steady and intensive release of the Galaxy Buds product line in recent years has given Samsung a high profile in the truly wireless earphone market. It has been recently reported that after Buds Live in 2020 and Buds 2 in 2021, the legendary Buds Pro 2 seems to be expected to arrive with the new Galaxy Z Fold4 / Galaxy Z Flip4 folding screen during the Unpacked event in August.
A few days ago, a Twitter whistleblower with a history of credible leaks was skeptical. According to its speculation, “Galaxy Buds Pro 2” is indeed expected to arrive around the same time this year, but it is unlikely to be unveiled during the recent Unpacked special event.
Then another whistleblower also quoted sources in retail channels as saying that the upgraded Samsung wireless earphones may go on sale earlier than previously expected. If it is confirmed in early July, then we may wait until the official announcement soon.
Meanwhile, although SnoopyTech claims the earphones may be called “Galaxy Buds Pro 2”, this has not been confirmed further.
In terms of color matching, the new headphones may have white (Zenith White), purple (Zenith Bora Purple), and black (Zenith Graphite) options, which are not much different from the original Phantom Silver / Violet / Black.
Of course, given that Samsung is particularly good at attracting more consumers to buy with new color schemes, presumably “Galaxy Buds Pro 2” will eventually usher in no less than non-“Pro” SKU options.
