Last Wednesday, the Fortnite team announced on the Epic Games website that they are working hard to bring the 2022 FNCS Invitational back offline. While ensuring the health of players and the safety of spectators, the event is planned for November 12-13 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
It is reported that as the first large-scale offline competition since the 2019 “Fortnite” World Cup, Epic will invite top FNCS teams from all over the world and will provide a prize pool of up to one million dollars.
While Epic may still make adjustments based on changes in global public health trends, or regional regulations/policy recommendations, in a tweet on Monday, Fortnite Competitive (@FNCompetitive) gave a clearer signal.
It’s unclear whether Epic intends to host some form of Fortnite World Cup in 2023, but the three-day gaming event (with a prize pool of up to $30 million) after many years has left many players looking forward to it.
Epic was forced to pigeon the Fortnite World Cup twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. First, it was postponed to April 2020, and then at the end of the year, it was said to cancel the 2021 offline event. By the way, the season of Fortnite is coming to an end, and officials have planned a big in-game event this weekend.
