If you experience problems with your iPhone or iPad, you may have to restore it to factory settings. An iPad and iPhone can be restored via the device itself, unfortunately, it may not be possible this way.

Since macOS Catalina you have to use Finder for this, the previous version of macOS or on a PC this can be done using iTunes following these steps. Restore iPad or iPhone via Finder
- Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod to your Mac
- Unlock your iDevice and confirm the pairing
- Open Finder
- Search for your iDevice in the “Locations” sidebar
