As you surely know, today is the fourth anniversary of God of War, the former PlayStation 4 exclusive that has also been available on PC for a few months. To celebrate the event, game director Cory Barlog posted a short video on social media, in which Ragnarok was also discussed.
During the video, all the fans who over the years have contributed to the success of the game were thanked, which continues to be one of the most beloved PlayStation Studios projects of all time. Although Barlog does not play the role of game director for Ragnarok, the new chapter of the series starring Kratos and Atreus has been at the center of the movie.
4 years ago, God of War (2018) released! We’re grateful to all of you who joined Kratos and Atreus on their journey, and we’re so proud of the team who worked to bring it to life.
While we’re not ready to share an update about what comes next, here’s a quick message from Cory! pic.twitter.com/Z5PHpKQppY

Barlog confirmed that the silence on the title is due to the constant commitment of the software house, which is working hard to comply with the high-quality standards of the software house. It also seems that the game is not yet ready to be shown to the public, but Barlog has promised that as soon as we can show something we will be the first to know.
From the words of the game director of God of War, it is not clear if the work on the game is behind or is proceeding according to the set times, but it is not to be excluded that Sony may decide to postpone the release of the exclusive PS4 and PS5 to next year to give the team a few months of additional time to complete the work.
For those who do not know, a few days ago Cory Barlog’s Twitter profile was mysteriously deactivated and many believe that this event may have to do with the future of God of War Ragnarok.
