Once a month, if everything goes smoothly, it’s Patch Tuesday at Microsoft. Like today, there are updates for the Windows versions that are in support. Here users get KB5010342 for Windows 10 and KB5010386 for Windows 11 as a cumulative (security) update. Windows 10 is thus upgraded to versions 19042.1526, 19043.1526, or 19044.1526, with Windows 11 users having Windows 11 22000.493 after the update.
The update includes all the bug fixes from the previous optional update, as well as security fixes. The Windows 11 update also fixes a bug that can cause some devices with SSDs to run slower. This can happen if users skipped the last optional update released at the end of January.
