On the afternoon of January 21st, Twitter announced on Thursday the launch of a feature that allows users to use NFTs as their personal avatars. Twitter’s move is aimed at getting more users to showcase digital art and encouraging people to sign up for its Twitter Blue subscription product.
It is reported that this new feature is limited to Twitter Blue subscribers, and only supports Apple iOS devices. Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that the feature is annoying, Twitter is spending engineering resources on it, and cryptocurrency scammers spam every post.
