To view the screenshots taken with your smartphone in Google Photos currently just tap the Collection tab in the bottom bar and open the screenshot folder in the following screen. While this isn’t complicated at all, it appears that Google is thinking of simplifying it further by offering more direct access to the folder with the screenshots captured. With this in mind, the Mountain View giant has begun to implement a new link that allows you to open the screenshot folder directly from the main Google Photos screen.
Google Photos adds a handy shortcut for captured screenshots
In the current version of Google Photos, the app shows the Memories carousel at the top of the home screen, followed by recent photos and videos, however, Google is adding a conspicuous link at the top of the main screen for users to access more easily. to the Screenshots folder.

The new screenshot shortcut comes as a banner that includes a preview of the most recent screenshot and the number of new screenshots. Although Google hasn’t released any information about the new screenshot link, we imagine it will only appear when the user opens Google Photos after taking a few screenshots of the smartphone.
This new shortcut was spotted in Google Photos version 5.66.0.406885096 and currently appears to only be available to some users via a server-side update. To check if the feature is available for your account, you can update the Google Photos app through the Play Store using the badge you find below, or by manually installing the relevant APK file that can be downloaded here.
