As of today, Apple has not added any new games to Apple Arcade, Apple’s game subscription service, for two months. Before April 2, the company will add new games to Apple Arcade intermittently every Friday, similar to the way Apple TV + content is released, but since the launch of new categories of games two months ago, the service seems to be Take a back seat.
On April 2, Apple added 30 games to Apple Arcade, bringing the total number of games to more than 180. Some of these games fall into the new categories of Timeless Classics and App Store Masterpieces, adding existing games to the service. These new games show that Apple Arcade’s strategy has changed. Prior to this, Apple Arcade only relied on the exclusive Arcade Original.
Despite major changes to Apple’s Apple Arcade, more than 8 weeks have passed and no new games have been added to the platform. However, Apple is still promoting some new games coming soon, including the narrative card game Solitaire Stories, the fast-paced puzzle game Frenzic Overtime, and the turn-based RPG game Legends of Kingdom Rush.

Starting from Friday, June 4, Apple Arcade is expected to resume the service of weekly new games after this suspension period. Apple Arcade was launched in September 2019. It is an ad-free mobile game subscription service with no in-app purchases. Apple Arcade is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV and Mac for $4.99 per month.
