As per the USPTO, the iPhone smartphone maker Apple has now officially obtained a technology patent for the Vision Pro headset, demonstrating the active Light Seal, which can have built-in rich sensors and related components and connected via pogo-pin.
For now, the existing Light Seal is made of soft textiles and comes in various shapes and sizes that can be bent to fit the user’s face. The accessory helps block external light and enhances the immersive experience of the headset.
As per the new patent document, various sensors and active components can be integrated into the Light Seal to connect the screen, processor and other components of the headset, supporting modular design to improve the immersive experience.
The active Light Seal can be modularized with various built-in sensors to measure the wearer’s body temperature, sweat, heart rate, heart electrical signals (such as electrocardiogram, electrocardiogram, etc.
