The upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone’s key specifications are now revealed by the Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS). The tipster said that Xiaomi will debut the smartphone with an 8T OLED panel with LTPO technology. The 8T LTPO technology sports an improved mechanism to efficiently switch refresh rates. Digital Chat Station adds that Xiaomi will continue to equip the smartphone with a similar peak brightness and high-frequency PWM dimming in comparison to its predecessor.
Xiaomi will equip the smartphone with up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. DCS hints that the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra will likely be the first smartphone to debut with 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM.
The new phone’s panel might also have a 144Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, similar to its predecessor. The tipster adds Xiaomi will ship the smartphone with a 1.5K resolution panel.
MediaTek has fabricated the chipset on a 4nm process and equipped it with one Cortex-X4 core at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU.
