Google has recently launched the new Pixel 8 Series phones. The Series includes the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. It has been available for pre-order since last week and will be available on general sale soon. Now a reliable Youtuber Zack Nelson (JerryRigEverything has shared) shared the durability test video of the Pixel 8 Pro.
Pixel 8 Pro Durability Test
In the video, during the scratch test, it performed exactly the way one would expect it to i.e. “scratches at a level six with deeper grooves at a level seven”.
The OLED panel of the phone did get a permanent burn mark from exposure to an open flame for 17 seconds. The under-display fingerprint scanner appears to be working perfectly after all the torture.
The Pixel 8 Pro bend test confirmed that the smartphone passed it without any hiccups. This is the same test during which Apple’s newly launched Titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max failed miserably. The Pixel flagship did make creaking sounds when the pressure was applied but it did not snap into two halves. It did not show any cracks in the antenna lines either as was the case with the Pixel 7 Pro last year.
