The upcoming release of the Nothing Phone (2) on July 11 has been recently featured on Geekbench, showcasing the utilization of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This choice of processor comes as no surprise, as Carl Pei officially announced its integration into the Phone (2) back in May, elucidating the reasoning behind this decision.
The particular unit of the Nothing Phone (2) that underwent benchmark testing on Geekbench was operating on Android 13 and boasted a substantial 12GB of RAM. Impressively, during its initial run, it achieved a commendable score of 1,733 and 4,207 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Furthermore, in another test, it obtained scores of 1,739 and 3,983 points in the single-core and multi-core evaluations, respectively.
While detailed specifications for the Phone (2) have not been released by Nothing thus far, the brand has confirmed that the smartphone will feature a generous 6.7″ display and a robust 4,700 mAh battery. Additionally, Nothing has made a commitment to provide three years of Android updates and four years of security updates for the Phone (2), emphasizing their dedication to sustainability.
