Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 10, has commenced receiving the latest security update from Samsung. Initially rolled out in Europe, the July 2023 security update is anticipated to expand to additional countries and regions in the near future.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are now being updated with firmware version N97xFXXS8HWF3 in Switzerland. The Galaxy Note 10+ 5G variant is also receiving the new security update, identified by firmware version N976BXXS8HWF3. This update focuses solely on bolstering the security of these devices, addressing various vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software version. It does not introduce any new features, changes, or performance enhancements.
For Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ owners in Switzerland, the update can be accessed by navigating to Settings » Software update and selecting the Download and install option. Alternatively, users can download the firmware file from the firmware database and manually install it using a Windows computer and the Odin tool.
Samsung initially introduced the Galaxy Note 10 series in mid-2019, featuring Android 9 as its operating system. Over time, the devices received updates to Android 10 in early 2020, Android 11 in early 2021, and Android 12 in late 2021. The Android 12 update marked the final major Android update for the Galaxy Note 10 series.
