Samsung is set to reveal its highly anticipated flagship foldable models, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event later this month. However, prior to the official launch, authentic images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 have emerged, showcasing the device’s innovative hinge design and camera arrangement.
Notably, the new hinge eliminates the gap between the two folding sections of the phone, as clearly depicted in the released images. The device incorporates essential components such as a speaker, USB Type-C port, and microphone at the bottom, while the top section houses three microphones and an additional speaker.
Similar to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features three cameras, albeit with one notable change: the LED flash has been repositioned to the right side of the camera sensors. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is anticipated to sport a primary 50MP camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera boasting triple optical zoom capabilities.
According to previous leaks, the phone is expected to boast a 6.2″ 120Hz Super AMOLED screen along with a 7.6″ 120Hz internal foldable Super AMOLED display. Its specifications may include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor, 12GB of RAM, and storage options of either 256GB or 512GB. Furthermore, the device will offer GPS, 5G support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and an IPX7 water resistance rating. The phone is likely to house a 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging capabilities, and it will also provide features like fast wireless charging, Samsung DeX, and Samsung Pay.
