Samsung has recently released the June 2023 security update for two of its mid-range smartphone models from 2020, namely the Galaxy A31 and the Galaxy A41. As of now, this update is being rolled out in Kazakhstan, and it is anticipated that other markets will follow suit in the coming weeks.
The firmware versions associated with the June updates for the Galaxy A31 and A41 are A315FXXS3DWF1 and A415FXXS4DWF1 respectively. Given that these phones are over three years old, it is not surprising that the updates primarily focus on bolstering security measures. Specifically, the updates address critical vulnerabilities and various less severe vulnerabilities, as previously disclosed by Samsung earlier this month.
To ascertain whether the new update is available for their Galaxy A31 or Galaxy A41, users can navigate to the Settings app on their phones, select Software Update, and click on the Download and Install option.
Alternatively, users may opt to download the complete firmware from the Samsung archive and utilize a Windows PC to install it onto their devices. It is important to note that updates are typically rolled out in phases, so users may need to exercise patience if the June update is not yet available in their respective countries.
