Google Pixel devices have consistently impressed users with their stunning wallpapers. In previous iterations, we were treated to captivating live wallpapers crafted in collaboration with esteemed studios like B-Reel and ustwo. More recently, Google introduced elegant, minimalist static wallpapers created in partnership with talented artists.
Today, we are excited to share an exclusive glimpse of the brand-new Pixel 8 wallpapers, courtesy of an internal source at Google. Scroll down to explore the collection and find a link to download high-resolution versions from Google Drive.
Additionally, we have a sneak peek at the color options that may be available for the upcoming Pixel 8 series. It is important to note, however, that these colors are subject to change and may not all make it to mass production or widespread availability. Furthermore, the color names provided below are internal designations and may differ from the final marketing labels.
Google Pixel 8 Wallpaper Themes
Following the precedent set by the Pixel 6 series in 2021, Google continues its tradition of releasing thematically unified wallpaper collections for each color variant of their phones. These wallpapers serve as an extension of the devices’ physical aesthetics.
In the case of the Pixel 6, the theme centered around floral motifs, aptly named “Bloom,” which beautifully complemented the vibrant case colors and Material You design. The Pixel 7 series, on the other hand, featured a more sophisticated aesthetic with its “Feathers” collection, harmonizing with the devices’ professional allure.
Notably, both these collections were masterfully curated by acclaimed filmmaker and photographer Andrew Zuckerman, recognized for his notable work, including the Apple design book released in 2016.
For the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, Google once again entrusted Andrew Zuckerman with the creation of their wallpapers. The theme for this iteration is “Minerals.” Explore the complete Pixel 8 wallpapers gallery below or access the uncompressed versions for personal use here.
