June 16/2023: Samsung has commenced the rollout of a significant update, accompanied by the June 2023 security patch, for its flagship tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S8. This latest update focuses on enhancing the device’s performance, security, and overall stability.
To identify the June 2023 security update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, users can observe the One UI build version ending with BWE8. Notably, the installation package for this update is quite large, measuring 1764.77 MB.
Given the substantial size of the update compared to regular updates, it is expected to introduce new features and improvements. However, the changelog does not specify any changes other than security fixes.
Samsung’s June 2023 security update addresses more than 50 vulnerabilities that could potentially impact users’ privacy and security. Among these vulnerabilities, three are classified as critical, while 47 are classified as high-level and pertain to common vulnerability exposures associated with CC Mode, Exynos, and Knox ID.
Presently, the update is being rolled out to locked Galaxy Tab S8 models in the United States, and unlocked models will soon receive it as well. The update is being delivered over the air (OTA) and is anticipated to reach all Galaxy Tab S8 users in the coming days.
