Samsung has demonstrated promptness in deploying the June 2023 security update across its range of devices. Following its release for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21, and Galaxy S22 models, the company has now made the update available for the Galaxy A73 as well as several mid-range phones and Galaxy Tab devices.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A73, designated firmware version A736BXXU4CWE4, encompasses the June 2023 security patch. This patch addresses more than 60 identified security vulnerabilities that have been detected in Galaxy phones and tablets. Notably, this update does not introduce any new features. While initially launched in Malaysia, it is anticipated that the availability of this update will expand to additional countries in the near future.
If you are a Galaxy A73 user residing in Malaysia, you can verify the availability of this update for your device. To do so, navigate to the Settings menu, select Software update, and proceed to download and install the update. Alternatively, you have the option to manually download the firmware file from our firmware database and perform a manual installation.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy A73 in early 2022, equipped with Android 12 as its operating system. Subsequently, the device received the Android 13 update towards the end of that year, followed by the One UI 5.1 update earlier this year. Looking ahead, it is expected that the device will receive the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update in the coming months, with plans for future support extending up to the Android 16 update.
