At the start of this month, Google is bringing Material You enhancements to widgets to Google News. In this new redesign, they bring “Quick view” features a modified icon in the top-left corner, after “Google News,” and then open For You when you clicked it.
When clicking the For You option, after that, you get a headline, with the publication and timestamp showing at the bottom. When you tap it will direct you to the article and when clicked on the Full Coverage button you open that feed. When users need to create a Quick view in any direction, then it turns into the List view widget.
This new widget lets you scroll to see seven articles as you see previously and with cover images also. When the user needs to resize it you need to take up the whole screen. This new widget is by default in two ways.
This Quick View has a small space and users notice that they don’t have as much space as before. It may be possible this text will be heavy on the phone and include a cover image, which is a similar case to Google’s earlier on a tablet.
At last, users can find this Google News widget in version 5.82 for Android.
