In the past weeks, Google is working on Generative AI that enables users to write in Gmail and Docs. Recently, this feature comes for Google Meet, Google Sheets, and Slides as Duet AI for Google Workspace. Many people who signed up for the Google Workspace Labs now see the generative AI feature as “Help you write” in Gmail and Docs.
Gmail users see the “Help me write” button next to Send when they begin to compose a new mail and at the bottom toolbar, there are formatting options also. After that, to enter a message there a blue messaging field appears at the bottom of your screen along with Google rotating through suggestions.
With this, you can generate these options Elaborate like adding details to build upon the text, Formalize make the draft more formal, Shorten it with shorten the draft, and more. While writing an email you can go for Google to Recreate and Insert which also other edits. Google marks with brackets enable you where you enter your name and other details.
A “Help me write” button will show when you open a new tab in Google Docs. It follows the same functioning as Gmail’s “Help me write” button and to access this button you can find it again at the edge of the page.
Lastly, in Google Sheets and Slide for creating images generative AI is not live yet maybe in the coming weeks, it will.
