According to the latest report, Microsoft rolled out Edge Dev version 115.0.1843.0 for public testers. The latest version added some new features such as dragging and dropping links to open new tabs in the vertical tab mode, the complete changelog is mentioned below.
New features include:
- In the vertical tab page area, you can drag the link to any position to open a new tab page for the link.
- Discovery panels are now resizable.
- macOS: Added the shortcut key of Control + Option + Command + Down to open the correction card of spell check.
- Enterprise: Added DiscoverPageContextEnabled policy. Added a policy to configure the recommended settings dialog.
Reliability improvements include:
- Fixed a browser crash when selecting text in a private window.
- macOS: Fixed browser crash when prompted for proxy credentials.
- Android: Fixed browser crashes when tapping the forward or back button twice quickly.
Other changes include:
- Fixed an issue where videos could not be played on some websites.
- Fixed an issue with AV1 media playback.
- Fixed an issue where workspaces would not reconnect after losing their connection.
- Fixed the edge://app-settings page displaying the “This page has been blocked by Microsoft Edge” message.
- Fixed missing discovery panel title.
- Linux: Fixed spell-check suggestions not working in some cases.
- macOS: Fixed browser not getting focus when opening links from other apps.
- WebView2: Fixed ScriptDialogOpening issue of type before unload (#3355)
- The Lunching External URI API has been moved from experimental to public.
- Enterprise: Fixed external unmanaged links not opening in private tabs on Android. Fixed an issue where the shortcut key for the Discovery function would still work after being disabled by a policy.
