A report says that Android 15 can modify the NFC(Near Field Communication) stack and system updates in the future. The MishaalRahmaan post found new codes in the Android Open Source Project.
It means the company plan to make the NFC stack as a modular system component for example Project Mainline module. Other leaks that explained the AOSP code mean Modifying the protection level for SUBSCRIBE_TO_KEYGUARD. This feature needs an NFC stack which is part of the APK and after working completely it will become a mainline module later.
Following the Bluetooth, WiFi, and UWB stacks, Google will next turn Android’s NFC stack into a modular system component, ie. a Project Mainline module!
It’s too early for this to happen in Android 14, but the NFC stack could become a Mainline module as early as Android 15. pic.twitter.com/55icKYJsdz

Google also do this before to make components into modules so then they can upgrade independently. The features of NFC stack like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Ultra-wideband count as Mainline modules.
