Google Meet launching 1080p streaming for Workspace tiers and Google One 2TB+

Premium Workspace features focused on video calls was added to 2TB+ Google One tiers in July. As part of Google One and other paid Workspace tiers, Google Meet now offers 1080s streaming. The resolution of a Google Meet video can be set to 1080 by users.

This is available on the desktop web, but a full HD camera and enough computing power for meetings with two participants are necessary. Google explains that Meet will automatically adjust the resolution if the device is bandwidth constrained and that additional bandwidth is required to be able to send 1080p video.

The status will be noted with identification in the upper right corner, with eligible users prompted before entering the gathering about the new 1080p choice, or it tends to be turned on or off through the settings menu. Users of Google Workspace

Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Education Plus, Enterprise Essentials, and Frontline will be able to use 1080p Google Meet.

This feature is also available to Google One subscribers who have storage of at least 2TB.

In addition, video call recordings, live streaming to YouTube, noise cancellation, and up to 24-hour calls are all features of Google One.
