The dark mode is now getting more attention worldwide. In terms of Android, it already appeared on the OS but for some third-party apps, it is still conditional. So offering it the company are looking to add it on a premium plans. Yes, you read that right, according to the latest report, Snapchat is in the line to provide dark mode but for only paid users.
The report is confirmed by Alessandro Paluzzi who is generally known for digging into various social media apps. The feature has been in the works behind the scenes for over two years now, with initial signs of support having been spotted back in 2021.

The new Dark mode will appear in Snapchat under “App Appearance” section that shows three options – “Always Light,” “Always Dark,” and “Match System.” According to Paluzzi, Snapchat will require a subscription to Snapchat+ to get dark mode on Android. Currently, Snapchat+ runs $3.99/month in the US.
