Although the “Coolwalk” dashboard update for Android Auto has been available for a few months. Google’s navigation app, Waze, has lacked compatibility for the platform refresh, however, it appears that progress is being made. Waze was informed when “Coolwalk” first debuted in beta that it did not support Android Auto’s new dashboard look.
This left early users upset, yet there was trust that the update would be prepared not long from now. At the end of January, Waze’s beta version included support for the dashboard, but not all users were able to use it. In addition, it vanished for some users without a reason as quickly as it appeared.
Support for Android Auto “Coolwalk” has been reinstated in the most recent beta update to Waze. Following the release of app version 4.93.5.X via the Play Store, users on Reddit report the change.
The beta program is currently full, regrettably. With dashboard support appearing immediately on Waze v4.93.5.5, I was able to confirm that sideloading the update works.
It’s as yet not satisfactory why the usefulness was eliminated in any case, however, it’s perfect to see it re-established.
