Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series flagships were released last month with positive reviews. However, now that phones have reached a significant number of consumers worldwide, certain small performance flaws have emerged. Some customers have reported issues with the S Pen, Wi-Fi connectivity, and camera in the last few weeks. Jittery scrolling animations or scrolling latency have also been reported by certain users.
A Reddit post started last month has a slew of Galaxy S23 owners complaining about sluggish scrolling on several third-party apps. The original article included a screenshot of the Reddit app with noticeable scrolling slowness. Other users, though, were quick to point out that the Reddit software itself had issues. It’s not the greatest technique to diagnose scrolling problems on the Galaxy S23 series. The original poster later stated that similar jittery animations can be seen when browsing through Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and many other apps.

The majority of those who responded to the Reddit thread said their Galaxy S23 has no such issues. But, it does not appear to be a one-time occurrence. The majority of affected consumers began experiencing latency following the February update, which was the first software release for the new Samsung flagships. The corporation has already released the March update, but it does not appear to have resolved the issue. That will most likely fix the problem in a future version. Meanwhile, if you’re having scrolling issues with a specific app, consider emptying the app’s cache and resetting your phone.
It’s not uncommon for new smartphones to have some performance issues in the beginning. Similar choppy scrolling animations were seen on the Google Pixel 7 Pro immediately after launch. An update from the company resolved the issue. In the next weeks, Samsung will release an update to address the scrolling issue with the Galaxy S23 series. According to reports, the Korean company is already working on a major software update for the current flagships.
Among other things, the update is said to improve the camera performance. By the looks of it, Samsung will be rolling out fixes for all known bugs and issues with the Galaxy S23 trio. The update is expected to arrive later this month. Since the devices have already received the March security patch, it could come bundled with the April release. We will let you know as soon as the rollout begins.
