A new Nothing OS 1.5.3 update is already rolling out to select customers, and it appears that even more capabilities are making their way to the device. Among the modifications is a new mechanism to manually add games to Game Mode. Sadly, non-Play Store games are not included. The update also includes improved animations and a smoother transition between the always-on display and the lock screen.
The most noticeable update is the addition of Ear (2) support. Furthermore, a new CPU utilization strategy that improves battery performance is a significant and welcome change. The actual data on it will be interesting to examine after the update. Nothing states that the Nothing OS 1.5.3 upgrade will be available to all Phone (1) customers in the coming days.
