The new Xiaomi 13 Pro has now been evaluated by DXOMARK experts. Surprisingly, the new Xiaomi flagship does not outperform expectations. Regardless of the Leica camera.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro features three cameras, all of which have 50 MP resolution, including a main camera with a Sony IMX 989 1′′ sensor, a 23mm equivalent focal length, and an f/1.9 aperture, OIS, and Dual Pixel PDAF. The ultra-wide camera has a 50 MP sensor, a 14mm f/2.2 lens, and autofocus, whilst the telephoto camera has a 50 MP sensor, a 75mm f/2.0 lens, and PDAF.
According to DXOMark, the smartphone’s overall photography performance is excellent. It features a high degree of detail, excellent saturation control, and a good zoom. Unfortunately, the results show that it struggles in challenging conditions such as backlighting or low light, and the image is not adequately illuminated in high-contrast scenarios. Finally, the Xiaomi 13 Pro received 136 points and is currently ranked 16th in the DXOMARK rating. And that could be a bit disappointing.
