Activision was breached on December 4th, 2022, when confidential information was leaked. Activision hasn’t exactly announced any details about the hack, keeping it underground.
The employees fell victim to a phishing scam, which allowed the hacker to access the company’s Slack channel. Using Slack access, the hacker was able to gather sensitive information
The breach revealed that Activision has a project called Jupiter that will enter alpha in May and June, and it could be another Call of Duty game. Plus, there will be a premium COD release this year.
The breach leaked the content schedule of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 till November 2023. The content includes 2 new operators, 3 new weapons, maps, game modes, events, and cosmetic bundles that will be released in the 3rd, 4th, 6th seasons.
