After Samsung, Google finally rolled out this year’s first software update to its Pixel devices. Samsung already rolled out January 2022 security patch update for the Galaxy Note 10 series, Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy A73 in some European countries.
According to the latest report, Google officially pushed January 2022 security patch update for the Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7 and 7 Pro. Google provides details for each of the security vulnerabilities that apply to the 2023-01-01 patch level. In this update, there are 20 security issues resolved.
Vulnerabilities are grouped under the component they affect. Issues are described in the tables below and include CVE ID, associated references, type of vulnerability, severity, and updated AOSP versions (where applicable). You can check the OTA images which are mentioned below.
