With Google Account you can easily use other Google products for example Google Ads, Gmail, and YouTube, using the same username and password. Most of the users have a Gmail account for emails and login accounts also. Now, in Android most used User interface is Google apps in which you switch accounts and recently added Material You element.
Changes bring Material You in Google Account:
- In Messages notices that Google Photos video integration is enabled then tapping your profile avatar shows that the sheet has more rounded corners. This visually looks more in line with Material You.
- The pill-shaped container button used for the Manage your Google Account no longer appears with other Google Products.
- YouTube Music now indicates when a song is available offline across Listen again, Quick picks, playlist/album/artist pages, Library, and search results. This includes manual and auto downloads.YouTube Music recently made this switch and the main YouTube app.
The tablet redesigns are best used in landscape orientation given the two-column layout, but there is a portrait version. Cover art is larger, while the top portion of your screen uses a blurred version as the background. You also get who made the playlist For example you, YouTube Music, or other users, and the date/year in the very first line of the UI.
No other changes to choosing other logged-in accounts or signing out, and app-specific options, like privacy, settings, and help/feedback, appear at the bottom. Given the ubiquity and consistency of this account switcher, we expect all Google apps to get this Material You design over time.
At last, the Material You theme uses in the first Google app is Google Messages, with Google telling us in June that the link-based sharing feature for video and, eventually, pictures is still being released. This update was first announced in March and more changes are coming.
