According to the latest information, Google is closing the classic Chromecast series. The device got its last update four years ago. The Chromecast Ultra is the primary key to its matter. Now, Chromecast is only available with Google TV and remote control.
The company said the updates would continue for the older devices.

You can still buy Chromecast (3rd Gen) and Chromecast Ultra from select retailers while supplies last. We will continue to support all existing Chromecast devices with ongoing updates.”
