7 years ago Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 and the device sports a 5.1 inches, 71.5 cm2 (~70.7% screen-to-body ratio) Super AMOLED display. The device comes with the pre-installed Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) which is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo), TouchWiz UI.
The chipset of this device is Exynos 7420 Octa (14 nm) and it uses Octa-core (4×2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 & 4×1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Mali-T760MP8 GPU. The Galaxy S6’s rear camera is 16 MP, f/1.9, 28mm (wide), 1/2.6″, 1.12µm, AF, OIS while the selfie camera is 5 MP, f/1.9, 22mm (wide), 1/4.1″, 1.34µm. The device uses Li-Ion 2550 mAh, a non-removable battery, and supports 15W Fast charging.
According to the latest report, the 7-year-old Galaxy S6 grabbed a new software update. The same software update was released by Samsung for many of its old phones in the last few days. Currently, we have not a single changelog of this update but it seems to be carrying some critical security fixes such as the GPS bug fix.
However, the update’s size is 1.9 GB, which indicates something special in this update. As per the report, the latest software update spotted on build number G920FXXU6EVI1.
