Recently, Samsung rolled out GPS-related software updates for more than 500 million devices of its portfolio and also One UI 5.0 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S22 series in various countries. Also, we’ve expected a stable One UI 5.0 update date which is October 17 or October 19.

Now, the latest software update for the Galaxy S22 Ultra rolled out in South Korea. In this update, Samsung adds 7 camera features and improved ‘Area guide size and recognition speed’ when scanning a QR code in the Quick Panel. You can check the complete changelog which is mentioned below.

MeIAIN new function added

  • When sending and receiving multiple images, you can view them together.

  • Telephoto lenses are supported in Hyperlapse mode.
  • Improved ‘Area guide size and recognition speed’ when scanning a QR code in the Quick Panel.
  • QR code recognition and document recognition results are displayed at the same time in camera app photo mode.
  • Applied Google security patch ‘Security-related stabilization code has been applied.

  • Added support for the telephoto camera in rear hyperlapse mode.
  • Recently, QR codes are being actively used in various fields such as electronic access lists, mobile tickets, URL access, business cards, and menu boards. We have improved usability and performance to increase the satisfaction of those who use QR codes with the Galaxy Camera. Increased the guide size and improved scanning speed when scanning QR codes from the Quick Panel. We tried to fit the QR code on the existing small guide screen, but we improved usability so that it can be recognized by placing the QR code on the enlarged guide screen.
  • Optimized memory and AI engine in Photo / Night / Video mode.
  • Optimized picture quality such as HDR and color in photo mode.
  • Optimized VDIS performance and improved image quality when recording motion pictures.
  • In the June SW update, the natural sharpness and contrast intensity adjustments provided to the wide-angle camera in photo mode were also applied to the ultra-wide / telephoto camera and pro and portrait modes.
  • The color and dark brightness of the night mode has been improved, and in the case of ultra-low light, we are preparing to improve it through AI learning, and we will update it later.
