Google Meet introduces an effective feature that enables you to unmute yourself with a long press of the space bar. In the Google Meet app, some people prefer mute while calling and manually unmute when they want to say something. In the future, Google introduced Google Meet’s unmute shortcut then users don’t need to unmute manually. When you hold the spacebar down your call will unmute and the release of the spacebar mute it again.

- Google Meet’s unmute shortcut is a very helpful feature when you forget to mute because it set automatically your call on mute.
- This shortcut will be off by default and for enabling this you need to go to the Google Meet settings. Google Meet’s unmute shortcut is now available to all Workspace users. It will come later for personal account users.
In starting of this month Google Meet brought the ability to toggle between mute and unmute using headsets, speakers, microphones, and other USB peripherals devices.
