Today is the day when Google and Apple fans are happy together, Google today released the Android 13 stable update along with an August 2022 security patch update while Apple rolled out iOS and iPadOS 16 Beta 6 update for all iPhone and iPad users.
We are fast approaching September and with it the month in which Apple will most likely provide us with new hardware. The group from Cupertino regularly presents the new iPhones and Apple Watches there and will also distribute the new operating systems at the same time. So you are in the almost final stages of beta testing and have now released the sixth developer beta.
In the last release, Apple made it possible to view firmware details for AirPods, and users of devices with a notch can also see the battery charge percentage in the status bar again. Other smaller things were also there. In the fourth beta, among other things, the nude photo scanner for iMessage was introduced and other changes were implemented in the messaging app, which improve the editing function, among other things. As usual, once it’s clear what’s new in this beta version, we’ll let you know. If you have a developer profile on your device, you can try the system update in the settings.
In this phase, in particular, not too much will change. However, we will keep you updated should there be any news. The update can now be obtained via the OTA system in the settings.
There’s also a new beta for the Apple Watch, the Apple TV and the HomePod. As usual, once it’s clear what’s new in this beta version, we’ll let you know. If you have a developer profile on your device, you can try the system update in the settings.
