Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 6 will be available in free format throughout the course of the weekend or more precisely starting from August 4th until August 8th. Gamers can try the game at no cost on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
As indicated, Italian players will be able to pre-download Far Cry 6 on PS4, PS5 and PC – via Ubisoft Connect or via the Epic Games Store – already now. Xbox does not allow pre-download of the Ubisoft game.

The start time of the free trial, set for August 4, 2022, is 6:00 pm – Italian time – if you choose the Ubisoft Connect version, while it is 8:00 pm for all other versions (Epic Games, Xbox and PlayStation ). The end of the Far Cry 6 free-to-play period is set for August 8, again at 6:00 pm (Ubisoft Connect) and 8:00 pm (Epic Games, Xbox and PlayStation).
Purchasing the game during the free period gives you a 50% discount for the full game and up to a 35% discount for the Season Pass. In fact, you can find Far Cry 6 on sale right now through the PS Store, with the new wave of Summer Discounts.
The Ubisoft site also indicates that an Xbox Live Gold subscription is required to play the free trial on Xbox. On the other platforms, there is no prerequisite. This free version of Far Cry 6 includes the entire game, including the free mission inspired by Stranger Things, the Netflix series. If you purchase the full game, your progress remains valid.
