There seem to be problems related to the production of the Nintendo Switch, or at least this is what an important chip supplier of the Kyoto house suggests, which is having great difficulties.
As we know, to date Nintendo Switch has sold 107.65 million units and has suffered from fewer limitations than other platforms regarding the well-known semiconductor crisis and its many implications.
However, things could change: Hosiden Corp., a leading supplier for Nintendo Switch components, even had to cancel the last tax report due to the inability to find the necessary raw materials.
Considering that more than half of the turnover of the company in question is represented by its supplies to Nintendo, it is easy to imagine that such a situation will quickly affect the production capacities of the Japanese company.
Therefore, Nintendo’s expenses, which suggested the arrival of Nintendo Switch 2 or Pro in 2023, take on a different light, and which perhaps stand instead as a simple strategy to combat the crisis.
