Stephen Totilo – journalist of the Axios newspaper – has revealed some information about GTA 6 and, precisely, about the initial plans of Rockstar Games, which aimed at four characters and three cities in one game.
This is all that Totilo has indicated. With plans already canceled, it’s credible that there isn’t much more information out there. However, what has been revealed is interesting for another reason: it allows us to understand how ambitious GTA 6 was in the plans of the Rockstar Games. After GTA 5, the company certainly wanted to offer something even more massive.
However, we specify that, according to the full-bodied report by Jason Schreier, GTA 6 is still very large, with more internal environments. Furthermore, it seems that the idea of the company is to expand the game over time with new cities and new content: it is, therefore, possible that some of the initial ideas will still be realized and published in the months and years following the publication of the game.
The decision to limit the magnitude of GTA 6 could also be linked to Rockstar Games ‘ desire to become a more balanced company, with a better working environment for employees (or in other words, avoid a crunch as much as possible). We have already talked about this too, in our dedicated news that presents the company’s steps forward.
