An upcoming update to ChromeOS introduces a built-in PDF editor, a new movie editor for Google Photos, and more. There are many scenarios in the education and enterprise fields that involve editing PDF files, and Google said it will introduce a native PDF editor in the next few months to make ChromeOS easier to edit PDFs.
In this ChromeOS update, Google Photos introduces a new movie mode. The Movie Editor allows users to combine multiple videos on a single-track timeline, add title cards, and create a basic movie based on the user’s mind in just a few minutes. As with similar tools, users can easily trim clips and adjust brightness and contrast (but no lookup tables).
In addition to the brand new movie editor, Google has several updates planned for Chromebooks in the coming weeks. ChromeOS will offer light and dark themes, switching between sunrise and sunset times. Google is also offering a new version of the Gallery app for Chromebooks, offering PDF editing and deeper integration with the Google calendar.
