According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data, Blizzard’s Diablo: Immortal mobile version has surpassed $100 million in global player spending on the App Store and Google Play since its release on June 1, 2022.
The game has become one of the fastest video games on mobile to reach the milestone, taking just eight weeks. Analyzing other popular games, Niantic’s Pokémon GO took about two weeks to reach this milestone figure, while Fire Emblem Heroes, second only to Diablo, took 10 weeks time.
On July 25, 2022, NetEase launched “Diablo: Immortal” in China. Two days before the game was launched, “Diablo: Immortal” became the most downloaded app in the Apple App Store. On the day the game was launched, it ranked third on the best-selling game list, and on July 26, it’s ranking successfully surpassed Tencent’s “Peace Elite” to the second position.
The U.S. is the No. 1 country by far for Diablo: Immortal. South Korea came second and Japan came third. The App Store accounts for about 59% of the total global player spending, and Google Play accounts for about 41%.
