Mozilla’s Firefox 103 browser is now available from FTP, the latest monthly update to the open-source, cross-platform browser. Firefox 103 isn’t particularly exciting for end users, but it does bring some useful features, such as highlighting required fields on PDF forms and improving performance on monitors above 120Hz.
Captions and captions for Firefox picture-in-picture mode are now available for more online services, and the option to allow SHA-1 signing of certificates has been removed.
Platforms such as Dailymotion, Funimation, Hotstar, Sony LIV and Tubi can now use subtitles and captions in Firefox’s picture-in-picture mode. Firefox 103 also fixes WebGL performance issues when running NVIDIA’s proprietary graphics driver on Linux with DMA-BUFF support enabled.
