The Mountain View tech giant Google launched its new version of Android 13 with the name Tiramisu it brings a range of new features and upgrades to Android phones and tablets. This version enhances the features of Android 12.
Android 13 is in its beta version, but Google may release it in August or September 2022.
Steps to download Android 13
- First, you will need to have a Google Pixel Phone (Pixel 4 and Pixel 4A and newer) or an Android phone. We already know this operating system is in its beta phase then we install the beta version if it is supported on your device.
- You need to sign up, then you can download and install the latest beta release as an over-the-air (OTA) update but be careful – beta releases can be unstable and glitchy.
- Before starting this process, you need to take a backup of the device first because you may be at risk of data loss.
- When the beta version is in its installation process it might send you several notifications, but you can check if you are installing the latest version or not by Settings>System>System update and tapping Check for update.
- If you want to go back older version, you will need to go to Google’s Android beta page scroll down to find your device, hit Opt-Out, or maybe you get an update to back to an older version.
New Features of Android 13
- Even More Customization: In this Google’s ‘Material You’ concept to enable deeper personalization, Android 13 supports more colors in the theme options. In this, you can choose Wallpaper & style and customize the theme as per your liking.
- Enhanced Privacy: In this, we limit to access our device media file. We also option to share our phone’s location to find nearby Wi-Fi devices.
- Improved Copy and Paste: In this when you copy a URL then you can paste it into the browser and nearby android device as well.
- Fewer Notifications: When you install a new app in the previous version it sends a notification but, in this version, apps ask permission before sending a notification.
- Better Tablet Support: Android 13 makes it easier to work with a big screen and tablet. In this, you will hide the taskbar at the bottom with frequently used apps for easy drag-and-drop multitasking with the option to pin app pairs in the Recent Apps menu.
- Quick QR Code Scanner: In this version, you can easily scan the QR Code by Quick Settings tiles, and you can drag the QR Code Scanner onto your panel.
- Improved Media Player: In this version, you can show the track or podcast that’s playing, and the whole background pulls album art when available. You also switch to linked speakers or headphones easily.
- Smart-Home Controls on the Lock Screen: You can access the camera, flashlight, and other smart-home without unlocking your phone.
- Double Tap for Flashlight: Google has added support for the flashlight. Go to System > Gestures > Quick Tap > Toggle flashlight to try it.
- Bluetooth LE Audio Support: It provides less power consumption and better audio quality for wireless headphones, earbuds, and other devices that support it.
- Encrypted Group Chats: In this, you get to know typing indicators and better support for texting and sharing images over Wi-Fi.
- Different Languages for Apps: It also has different languages by these steps: Settings > System > Languages and input then tap on App languages to set languages for specific apps.
- The New Google Wallet: Google Wallet will be integrated across Google’s other apps and work in conjunction with Google Pay.
