It’s unclear what caused such a massive surge in traffic. Some speculated that it was due to the game-saving replays in real-time, however, other users observed a large increase in data within minutes of starting the game.
Halo: Infinite will suddenly launch a free multiplayer game on November 16, 2021. After receiving this news, players from all over the world poured into the Steam platform to download and play in large numbers, and finally, the total download bandwidth usage of the Steam platform more than doubled, reaching an astonishing 23.5Tbps.
