A Chromebook is a device like a laptop or a tablet, running the Linus-based ChromeOS as its operating system and it is revolutionary in the laptop market. It was launched by Google to rely on heavy web applications for tasks using the google chrome browser. Chromebooks have since expanded to be able to run Android and full-fledged Linux apps in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
With an arriving update, Chromebooks embedded with mobile data will serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot for devices, like Android and iOS devices can today.
In the previous year, Chromebooks have become more portable than they were before, clearing out with a Wi-fi connection and it will be possible with new models. This will change users’ mobile data experience than before. Chromebook has more battery life as compared to phones and from now on they will act as host of Wi-Fi hotspots for other devices.
We can only predict how mobile hotspots will act on ChromeOS. It will enable the ON/OFF option from the toggle just like the android phone we are using now. This will also provide an easy way to access the Quick Setting toggle.
We don’t know yet how much demand these Chromebooks are for connecting devices with each other by using mobile data. Working on this feature of Chromebook is still on and later this year we will use it.
